Do you want to fight? Want to play basketball? Do you want to be a cop? Do you want to be a hacker? Do you want to date anime hotties? Want to swing around with tentacle arms!? Well, if you’re interested in doing all of those things, then I have the game for you.
ANANTA is the latest hyped up gacha game that’s on most people's radar, except mine. Maybe I’m just some big old fart who forgot how to have fun and enjoy life, but I’ll be honest, ANANTA doesn’t really excite me. Yeah, an anime GTA does sound pretty fun and interesting, but I wasn’t into GTA in the first place. But that doesn’t mean I didn’t want to play the anime GTA.
The game looks fun don’t get me wrong, but it looks like it’s trying to do too much. It’s a game that’s trying to do everything, but might not do any of those things right. Is there a reason why I would want to do the boring looking basketball mini game? Is there a reason for me to date this NPC with no personality? Is there a reason for me to arrest this guy? If this game has all these mechanics, but they all are just there just to be there, then what’s the point? It’s like eating one of your favorite meals, compared to eating at a mid buffet. You might can eat all you want, but every time you eat a new plate, it’s just okay, compared to your favorite meal that you enjoy each time.
With the game being free to play, and also with the gacha aspect not being tied to characters, it got people even more excited. To me personally, I feel like NTE looks more exciting and more focused than this game. It looks like a game with an identity, while this game just looks like a kid threw all their favorite ideas together and called it a day. I could be eating my words once the game comes out, but right now, I would rather play Wolverine if I had a choice.
What do you think of ANANTA? Do you think the game has too much? Would you rather play Wolverine? Tell us in the comments.
