Kickstarter, once the goat, is starting to look less like the goat. Recently, they’ve implemented a new rule, pushing NSFW content off the platform. Another dumb, and stupid move by a company.

Many have done this, with lackluster results. Onlyfans tried this, and had to switch back immediately after seeing the money lost. Patreon tried, and also failed. And we all know what happened to Tumblr, R.I.P. So will this work out well for Kickstarter? Maybe, maybe not. But it sucks, cause a lot of amazing NSFW games have done well on Kickstarter without any issues. But the world has become a really lame place as of recently

I guess Indiegogo is looking like the alternative, but that place isn’t as big and wide spread as Kickstarter. It’s like the difference between Patreon and Subscribestar. Subscribestart has way less NSFW restriction than Patreon, but still doesn’t have the same reach as Patreon. It’s always great to have an alternative, but the direction that the world is going, is still looking bleak.
What do you think about this new Kickstart rule? Do you think it will stick-

And just like clock work, they reversed their stance on it while I was making this article. Not sure if this already left a bad taste in many people's mouths already, and Kickstarter has lost the good will of their usual consumers. But I’m happy they learned the error of their ways.
What do you think about Kickstarter reversing the rules? Do you think companies are going to keep trying to do this? Have you ever used Indiegogo? Tell us in the comments.
