We got an announcement for another new…GACHA GAME?! Well, not new technically, but new for you if you didn’t try to bypass and get into the Chinese servers. With how popular Persona 5 is, it’s not a surprise that Persona 5: The Phantom X was getting a global release. We just had to wait for it, and the wait is finally over with the newest release trailer. I guess we all saw it coming.
Releasing globally on mobile and Steam, June 26, and I have to say, I’m pretty disappointed. I’m getting tired of these non day 1 PS5 releases. But that’s the L I have to take as a Playstation player. Also, even though this is a global release, it seems like the game is only getting a Japanese dub on release. Maybe an English dub will be coming in the near future, but as of right now, there’s no announcement of an English voice cast. Which sucks cause even though I don’t really watch anime in English dubs, that’s a different story for video games. But, this wouldn’t be the first time for the series. Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth also never got an English dub release, which sour a lot of Persona fans on its initial release.

No English dub, no download.
And since some Persona 5 fans aren’t deep into the lore of some of these games until the game's global announcement, a lot of people are just now learning that Persona 5: The Phantom X is a gacha game, which is upsetting some. But from the gameplay I've seen, and reception from Chinese players, it’s still a quality game. So I feel like people don’t really have anything to worry about. But we’ll see how the US audience takes this game on release.
Are you going to play Persona 5: The Phantom X once it's released? Do you wish it had an English dub? Are you tired of gacha games? Tell us in the comments.
