I thought the Summer Game Fest was okay, but a lot of people seemed to be disappointed by it. I’ll admit, it wasn’t like a super jaw dropping event, but I didn’t hate it as much as everyone else seemed to dunk on it, and begged for E3 to come back. But, after watching the Xbox Game Showcase, I can say that it completely beat out the Summer Game Fest in my opinion. I don't play Xbox games, but luckily for me, some of the games they showed weren’t Xbox exclusive, such as Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.



When looking at this game and looking at the trailer, I got total Persona vibes. It’s turn based, and with the menu and combat style and flair of a modern Persona game, most noticeable Persona 5 and Persona 3 Reload. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is def the Persona with adult characters that many have been begging for.

I’m not one of those people that really needed Persona to have adult characters, I enjoy it for what it is. I more so wanted Persona to change up the formally and not stick to the same 1, 2, ,3 story beat that they’ve been doing forever now. But, if with Persona 6 they still follow their tried and true formula, without mixing anything up, then I guess I’ll just have to play Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 for my change of pace. And then after that, try my new Sekiro clone as well.
