Pokimane's Editor Took Simping Even Further Beyond
By WakeUpSnooze • 2 years ago

These days I think simping mainly occurs in two concentrated places: streaming platforms and sites where you need to pay for porn content. Uncoincidentally these two places also foster a ton of parasocial relationships where people misequate spending money on someone to be the same thing as deserving to spend time with them and know them on a personal level. Simping tends to hit critical mass this way in my experience, and said theory was reinforced this past week with the bombshell story Pokimane told on stream regarding one of her former editors. Apparently one of her first editors began to submit videos late on a regular basis. When asked about the reason for his late submissions, our boy came clean. Or came dirty. The point is he came. He came, multiple times, to videos of Poki and couldn't get his work done on time because of it.

Apart from this being a wild discovery from its nature alone, the more you think about it the weirder it gets. We're not talking about porn videos here. This dude was literally failing to complete his job because he couldn't stop cooming to regular ass gameplay videos of Pokimane. There's no one in this world that I would fap to purely based on them streaming some damn Elden Ring or something. To cum to regular stream footage is crazy to me, but this man took it one step further by doing it so often he fell behind on his productivity. How is that even possible temporally? Did my man edge himself for hours on end while editing? It almost makes me wonder if he just got incredibly lazy and used this fapping angle as an excuse. Then again if that were the case, there's about a million better excuses he could have utilized to plead his case that wouldn't have been so awkward. Needless to say, Pokimane terminated their work partnership shortly after he admitted the cause of his tardiness.

This is more my kind of low productivity.

Everytime I think I've seen the depths of simping, someone who uses Twitch too much proves me still an ignorant man to the lengths people are willing to sink for others who don't really know or respect them. It's not a practice I can really understand myself, especially in extreme examples like the one discussed today. Hopefully around here we can stick to restricting our simping for 2D waifus only (they're a lot cheaper). Did you hear about Pokimane's story? Can you understand the video editor's thought process? Have you ever messed up your workflow due to too much cooming on the brain? Find a streamer, edit their content, and try not to bust while doing regular work in the comments below!
