When this anime was announced, I didn’t really hear anything good about it. It’s not like people were talking bad about the series, but there was no hype around it. All I knew is that it was written by the same person behind Assassination Classroom, and that it was very Japanese. Which made it harder for western people to get into. Well now after watching a few episodes, I can say that this might be the best shonen of the season, with great animation, and a story I can follow and enjoy.

With it being written by the author of Assassination Classroom, I already kind of assumed that it was going to be well written, which it is, and the huge Japanese influence doesn’t detract from that. And the animation quality is on the level of Jujutsu Kaisen and Frieren. All around, my worries quickly washed away. Also, did I mention it has a very cute main character.

Same. BY YOUR CUTENESS!!!

Our main character, Tokiyuki, has been the focus of many people, to my surprise. I didn’t expect this elusive samurai to be such a lewd samurai, but here we are.

I can kind of see the appeal to this femboy samurai, but I wouldn’t think people would go so crazy and HARD for him. I’m not complaining, hot art is hot art. So I’ll let the artist draw their femboy porn, and I’ll enjoy it as it comes.

So if you’re into well written shows, with great animation, that’s hopefully not killing its staff members. The Elusive Samurai is a great show to pick up. And if you’re into femboys, it’s also a good series to pick up.

Have you checked out The Elusive Samurai? What do you think about Tokiyuki? Did you like Assassination Classroom? Tell us in the comments.
