When Best Girl Doesn't Win
By ImJustThatKinky • 3 years ago

We all love a good romance from time to time. But the shitty thing about most romance for me is when the worst girl gets the guy at the end. Simple things like Ichigo getting with Orihime, or Naruto with Hinata. People get mad when their pairing doesn't win, and in romance shows, it’s even worse. Usually the first girl who shows up is going to be the winner, even though the second girl usually is obviously better than the first girl. And the show that ticked me off on this topic this time around is My Teen Romantic Comedy Snafu. If you haven’t watched Snafu, then spoilers ahead.

So the recent episodes have been making me sad, because I already know that best girl Yui isn't going to get with Hachiman, or Hikki, as the cute Yui calls him. It’s pretty obvious at this point that Hachiman is going to get with main girl Yukino. Yukino isn’t bad by any means, but she’s definitely not better than Yui.

She's cute, but not waifu material.

Yui is funny enough, not the girl I feel like I would usually pick. I would usually pick.someone like Yukino, since she’s the sharp tongue tsundere that I usually gravitate towards. But fuck, Yui is just cute and adorable in all the right places. She’s a girl who knows how to tease and brighten up your day. She’s clingy, while not being overly baring. She is perfect for Hachiman, and I think she even helped him grow into a more sociable person. She was a light in his dull life. Their opposite personalities are what makes them such a cute and great pair. But no, he’s going to get with Yukino. Sensei would have been a better choice than her.

Okay let’s be honest, sensei is the true best girl.

The show might not be over yet, but at this point, I don’t see Yui winning. I hope she at least has a good ending, I don’t want to see my Yui sad at the end.

This smile, must be protected.

Who is your favorite out of Yui and Yukino? Why does the first girl always win in romance? Is sensei the secret best girl? Tell us in the comments.
