Who Is Margaret Ells?
By ImJustThatKinky • 23 hours ago

Sometimes anime make changes for the worse, and sometimes they make changes for the better. This time around, they’ve made a wonderful change that I don’t think many expected. Well, it’s not like people were talking, or hyping up this show. But someone did point out one character in particular seemingly getting themselves a glow-up.

The show is called, Laid-Off Cheat-Granting Mage, and here’s a summary:

Rein, an enchanter who strengthens equipment with his magic, is suddenly expelled from his guild, simply because every piece of gear in the guild has already been enhanced enough. Outraged by the absurd treatment, Rein decides to take back the enormous amount of mana he had poured into their equipment. When he casually channels it into a random copper sword, it transforms into a cheat-level weapon with 10,000 enhancement points!

With zero combat experience but armed with magic that can turn anything into overpowered gear, this enchanter sets off to enjoy a new, carefree life as an adventurer!

And the character people are going crazy about is named Margaret.

And someone in the comments said it best. She got those Gintoki eyes.

It’s actually wild to me that this character, from this nobody show, it’s getting so much traction. But I’m happy for the random traction, cause I think she’s hot. The light novel design is, dare I say it…ass, or at least generic. I feel like her anime design really adds flair to her, and more personality.

And sorry, maybe I should be more focused on the anime. From the small clips I’ve seen, the show gives me the vibes of Konosuba. So if you enjoyed that show, maybe you can find something charming in this. I know it’s nothing I’m going to check out, but I do know that I’ll be checking out some Margaret doujin if we ever get any.

Do you think Margaret anime design is better than her light novel? Would you like to see Margaret doujins? Are you going to watch Laid-Off Cheat-Granting Mage? Tell us in the comments.
