I’ve been watching one of the highly praised anime of this season, Kaiju No. 8, and at this point, it’s pretty good. Nothing special, but it’s an enjoyable watch so far. I mainly just enjoy the characters and interactions between the group the most at this point. The story and monster killing is just secondary for me right now, but I still enjoy that aspect of the story as well.

Speaking of characters, one of the characters I’ve been enjoying a lot is Shinomiya. To sad that the animators fucked up her face.

But no, I was tricked before watching this episode and was wondering, “what the fuck happened?! They let that slide?” But no, it was just another Twitter person, trying to farm for engagement.

But back to the real topic, Shinomiya is your tsundere character of the series, well, sort of. She’s more tsun than dere, since at this point, I don’t think she likes our main character Kafka, but you know how some of these shows are, if it’s generic, you know she’ll be wanting to get in his pants soon enough.

But I like that it seems like her tsundere trait, more so is encouraging and wanting Kafka to do better. Less, Imma punch you cause I’m embarrassed, and more so, try and see if you can beat me old man.

That tsun tsun energy.

But while I like her character, I’m going to need the main female lead, Mina, to pick up some weight. At this point, she’s just a boring block on screen, and I’m hoping she’s not going to just be a rock of emotion for too long. I like the cool silent type, but the bitch is too silent.

But, that’s just my quick and general impression of the characters from just 5 episodes, it def has a lot of time to change and improve. And if not, then hopefully the doujins can improve their characters in a more lewd and sexy way.
