I’ve been enjoying the guest characters we’ve been recently getting in fighting games this year. We got 2B in Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising. We have a shit ton of guest characters in Mortal Kombat 1, and now, we got guest characters in Street Fighter 6!!!

Now the Street Fighter series isn’t really known for having guest characters. Yeah, they might have characters who aren’t a part of the Street Fighter cast like Akira from Rival School, but that’s still a Capcom product, but having a character from a different game and company like Terry and Mai, is very foreign for a Street Fighter mainline game.

I’m excited to see how this flip Street Fighter 6 on its head and how this turns out for the whole game in general. I’m excited to see guest characters, and hoping this is a sign for future content. Now all we need is for Tekken 8 to drop a guest character. Everyone is praying for Tifa as a DLC character, and for me personally, that would be a purchase day one honestly.

What do you think about Terry and Mai in Street Fighter 6? Would you like to see more guest characters in Street Fighter 6? Would you like to see Tifa in Tekken 8? Tell us in the comments.
